From the metropolis of Berlin with its vast forests in the north, you will first sail to Schwedt on the Oder-Havel Canal, passing through Oranienburg and Eberswalde. The peaceful, unique beauty of the Oder landscape will accompany you to the Polish city of Szczecin with its magnificent castle. The river will then take you along the unique Bodden coast through Usedom to Germany’s largest island, Rügen, with its famous chalk cliffs. The old hanseatic city of Stralsund is the trip’s destination. What could be more wonderful than sitting on the sun deck and enjoying the splendid views of the landscape slowly passing by and finding out all sorts of interesting things about the country, people, culture and nature on lovely bike tours? We start cycling in a wild rugged area of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina National Park, on the west coast. Then, we cycle along the popular south coast, the true Algarve, including very picturesque spots closer to the Spanish border! Our days have lots of variety with visits to places such as the Fisherman’s museum, the cape of Sagres and several fortresses. The Portuguese Sea Discoveries of the 15th century are always present. Besides cycling and enjoying the amazing scenery, we invite you also to learn about the local economy. One of the learning highlights is a visit to an organic farm where its fruit is transformed in jams, chutneys, cakes, and chocolates. The salines visit is another one and, to a sweet end, a visit to a pastry factory where you will have the chance to learn to bake some cakes and in the end taste them (cooking on van guided and guided tours only)! The beaches are beautiful, on the first days with fun waves and impressive steep cliffs on the background while the last days offer us quiet and crystal blue waters. You will find out that even in the more touristy Algarve areas there are still hidden away empty beaches.

The Castles and Wine bike tour will live up to its name.  Most nights will be spent either in a castle or an old convent, now beautiful charming hotels.  Along the way the great ancient city of Évora, world heritage site, and small fortified hamlets will tell the stories of wars with moors and Spain. It is located in the Buritaca Valley in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the highest costal range in the world; Tayrona National Park, a visit to the famous Tayrona Park with an easy gentle walk to enjoy some of Colombia’s best beaches in the country and lastly to Cartagena de Indias where you will enjoy a cultural visit to the historical fortified city.

Walking in Colombia focuses on the Andean region, combining cultural and trekking activities along the itinerary. The program starts with a visit to the charming state of Boyaca, north from the capital, which has some of the best-preserved colonial towns still keeping their traditional way of life. Here we find a hidden jewel called Paramo de Ocetá, a relatively unknown highland with a fantastic circular hike through pristine nature. Then we will travel back in time to the archeological sites of San Agustin and its beautiful natural sceneries in the southern Huila’s state with landscapes ranging from desert to green highlands. We also will enjoy the traditional city of Popayan on our way to the coffee area. At last, we will experience first-hand the coffee production, trek in the Los Nevados National park and enjoy the relaxing towns and landscapes that make this a must see in a trip to Colombia.
