Tour Profile: Hard. Longer distances and hilly terrain, with perhaps four ascents per day. All the cycling is done on tarmac, using touring bikes, not mountain bikes. You will cycle beside the Camino for much of the way along small roads, but when roads become busier, closer to Santiago, we have selected a parallel route along beautiful countryside which avoid busier main roads. You will be cycling the full 798 kilometers of the classic Camino de Santiago “Camino Frances”. Each day´s cycling will be different, from the high peaks of the Pyrenees, to the deep valley of the Ebro River in La Rioja, from the vast plains of Castilla´s high plateau to the mountains of northern Leon and on to the green mountainous region of Galicia. Your final pilgrim destination is the vibrant, mythical city of Santiago de Compostela.
